A millenary deity, the “Pacha” is celebrated every year from the 1st of August to the end of the month with offers of food and beverage at an ancestral ceremony presided by the oldest man in town. The ceremony is made at dawn, before the first sun rays. On the sides of the roads, at the top of the hills and at every home’s backyard, stone “apachetas” are built to bury the offerings to the Mother Earth.
